Annie the K. in Chicago

Annie the K. is in Chicago! Please join us at the Promontory, near Lake Michigan in Hyde Park on April 9th to experience the clothing first hand and meet Annie and other local artisans. The Hyde Park Handmade Bazaar is a vibrant gathering of many exciting local craftspeople and I'm really looking forward to meeting the vendors and learning about their work and their products. There's a fashion show at 2:00 which will showcase many designers' work, including Annie the K.'s ever popular open back wrap dress in a smooth-as-silk real silk version. I will display all my available styles, including a new addition, an long sleeved elegantly shimmering cowl dress in 4X.

This may be the only chance in Chicago to see the full Annie the K. collection, so I hope people can come. I'm really excited to meet people and hear what they think, and help them dress beautifully.

Here's the end of the show, when you can see all the Annie the K. styles in full action.

Curves Rock Fashion Show went great!!!

I am so pleased with how everything went this weekend.  I got to meet wonderful people and to launch Annie the K.'s new line in a truly successful fashion show.  I'm looking forward to sharing more pictures soon, and hopefully video, but for a behind-the-scenes sneak-peek, enjoy this photo of all my models, in all my garments, (with me, the designer/producer as well.)  We took this right before they all went on the runway, and I think you can tell how excited we are.

I'm so excited that Annie the K. will be showing in the Curves Rock Fashion Weekend main event.  The fashion show is Saturday night July 27th, at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Hyatt.  Tickets will be on sale soon.

The website for the event is

I am dressing 10 models for this event and I'm working very hard to develop new styles to fill out the collection.  Some styles are really accessible and I'm hoping to put them into production in the fall.  A couple styles are more involved and will end up being  exclusive to this show.

Here's a couple of snaps of pieces in development:

"Bowtie Skirt" in process, no waistband facings or hem yet, but its got pockets, and thats what counts.

"Super Sleeveless Blouse" in process.  The yoke edges still need stitching and trimming, and it still needs hemming and the button, but its on its way.
